After 14 years with The Liberty Group, I fulfilled a career long dream of launching my own independent financial advisory practice that is fully client centric.
With the advent of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) and Treat Customer Fairly (TCF) I felt that now more than ever it was the right time to launch an independent financial advisory firm, and that is what Opes Wealth is.
I have my Post Grad in Financial Planning from The University of The Free State, I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), which is the highest attainable qualification in the industry, I am a member of The Financial Planning Institute (FPI) as well as a Founding Member of The South African Independent Financial Advisors Association (SAIFAA), and an Associate of The Institute of Financial Markets (AIFM).
I am an Accredited Health Care Broker with The Council for Medical Schemes. Due to the fact that I am a Registered Tax Practioner, my clients receive advice and planning strategies which are tax efficient.
"Opes" is the Latin for Riches, Wealth, Abundance or Means. Opes Wealth is an independent financial advisory firm that puts the requirements of the clients at the forefront of our interaction. Opes Wealth was founded by Ingrid Farmer and Darren Robertson. At Opes Wealth we aim to create and preserve the wealth of our clients by tailor making solutions for each client.
